In 1986 I began to have my first contacts in the field of four wheels and precisely with Go Karts, until then I had only experience with motorcycles. With Kart I do some training and I realize that I actually like it. Unfortunately, the military service arrives and for some time I leave the environment.

After the military I start working and finally in 1991, at the end of the year, I have the opportunity to buy a used road car and start preparing it myself in the garage during winter to be able to run the following year. Thus began in 1992 in group N participating in various Northern Italy Rally with positive results, given the technical and economic possibilities. The preparation of the car was very home-made and could not be expected much.

In 1993, always with the same car, a little more confident than the previous year, my navigator and I had a lot more fun, we didn't win but we gained a lot of experience; winning is difficult, and it is already a goal to reach the end of the race without leaving a few pieces on the street!

In 1994 again Rally, but something much more concrete was taking shape on the horizon. At the end of '94 I bought a Peugeot 205 Rally Group A which won the Peugeot Trophy in '92, a real racing car. The occasion of the purchase of this car takes place through an old acquaintance of my father, more precisely his mechanic of the 60s Samuele Baggioli. It goes without saying that Baggioli soon became also my trainer to my enormous satisfaction.

From 1995 to 1999 I took part in the Italian Hill Climb Championship with countless satisfactions and victories. In 1996 I joined Adriano Zerla's Delta Racing team and was followed by MERICHEP for the management of sponsors, a company that already managed drivers such as Alex Caffi, Andrea Dallavilla, Fabio Danti, Mirco Savoldi and other important names.
